Introducing the Webcast Series, Insights On
Businesses and communities around the world are in upheaval as we collectively face the biggest challenge of our time. Navigating this uncertainty is made increasingly difficult with the amount of information circulating. Now, more than ever, Canadian business leaders must find ways to successfully navigate market challenges while fostering a workforce that can adapt quickly to change.
To help Canadian organizations define a clear path forward, we’re launching Insights On, a five-part webcast series. Each episode will explore timely business insights on a key topic and feature thought leadership from Canada’s leading industry experts. The webcast series will dive into:
How different functions are faring
As business operations continue to be impacted, key roles have seen a big shift in the way they operate during this current moment in time. From finance teams forecasting company spend to minimize loss, to CIOs ensuring their employees have the tools they need to work remotely. Each role plays a part in business continuity and these roles are facing monumental shifts as work and the workplace adjust to the new reality.
Leading in a remote workspace
With businesses making the transition to remote work, it’s important to understand this is a new concept to most employees. Whether hosting more virtual team meetings or finding time for one on one conversations, business leaders are having to explore new ways to ensure staff are enabled to deliver on the expectations of their role, while remaining connected to their team and engaged with their work.
The future of business travel
The current global crisis hasn’t only had an impact on how businesses operate in the office, business travel has also come to a grinding halt. With corporate travel on hold to protect the safety and wellbeing of employees, the role of being a travel manager has vastly changed during the absence of travel and these roles must consider what will come next.
The first webcast episode will take place on Tuesday, April 21st at 1 pm EDT on “Canadian businesses acting with certainty in uncertain times.” Hosted by Brian Veloso, Managing Director of SAP Concur Canada, the webcast will feature Lisa Kimmel, Chair & CEO, Edelman Canada & Latin America, who will present recent findings from the 2020 Edelman Trust Barometer Special Report on Brand Trust and Coronavirus. The conversation will explore how Canadian businesses are navigating these tumultuous times, what Canadians want to hear from businesses right now and what impact a business’ response has on trust, now and in the future.
